Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer — who co-hosted the “Today” show for five years before the latter’s firing —reunited to celebrate a “Today” show producer’s wedding on Saturday.
“Today” show Special Projects producer Jennifer Long tied the knot with the CEO of Expert Home Buyer, Reid Sterrett, at the Union League Club in New York City.
Lauer’s attendance led to a rare reunion between him and his former “Today” show colleagues such as Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones and weatherman Al Roker — who Pvnew is told officiated the wedding — after he was fired for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace” in November 2017.
In photos exclusively obtained by Pvnew, Lauer could be seen arriving at the event with his girlfriend since 2019, Shamin Abas, who wore a silky navy blue dress with strappy heels and a silver clutch.
She kept warm in a silver cropped cardigan and accessorized with dangling earrings.
Lauer, meanwhile, dressed up in a plaid suit paired with a pale blue button-down and navy tie.
The disgraced television host appeared to be in good spirits as he walked into the wedding hand-in-hand with Abas and a smile on his face.
Pvnew exclusively learned that once inside, “Lauer kept busy introducing his girlfriend to the guests at the party” and “the exchanges between him and his former colleagues were very cordial and friendly.”
Guthrie, 51, also seemed to be in a cheerful mood, as she waved at photographers with a glistening smile and walked into the venue with her husband, Mike Feldman.
She looked elegant in a fitted black velvet dress that featured a white neckline that came together at a bow on her chest, while her hubby sported a dark blue suit.
Guthrie and her “Today” co-anchor Kotb “made the rounds with everyone and snapped selfies with guests,” during the reception, our source further told us.
The insider added, “The ‘Today’ show crowd was super energetic and engaging with all of Jen’s family and friends.”
It’s not clear if Lauer and Guthrie came face to face, but their relationship was reportedly rocky following the former’s scandal.
A source even told People last week that Lauer, 65, “iced out” many of his former co-workers and friends after fleeing to a farm in New Zealand shortly after the scandal.
“[Lauer] has drastically changed his social circle and iced out many old friends, even people who stuck by him after the ‘Today’ show,” one insider claimed to the outlet.
The former morning show staple has since been living a “very quiet lifestyle” and is “going strong” with Abas.
Meanwhile, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes — who recently went red carpet official — had nothing to hide, as they “were quite handsy” and engaged in “very dirty dancing on the dance floor” during the reception, Pvnew’s insider said.
Robach, 50, and Holmes, 46, attended the wedding just days after Pvnew broke the news that their exes, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig respectively, are also dating after they bonded over their shared experiences.
Insiders later told Pvnew that Robach was “livid” with her ex-husband, because news of the partner swap came the same day they released the first episode of their podcast, “Amy & T.J.”
Robach and Holmes spoke out about their bombshell romance for the first time on Tuesday when they denied they were cheating on their respective spouses.
“To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case,” Holmes claimed. “We both at that point were in divorce proceedings.”
The former “GMA3” co-anchors made headlines in November 2022 when they were photographed looking friendlier than just colleagues on a vacation and at a bar in New York City — while they were both still legally married.
Robach and Holmes were eventually fired from “GMA3” in January 2023.
