Pete Davidson’s girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, is standing by him while he is in rehab.
Sources tell us the actress and her family have been very supportive of the former “SNL” star, who entered a facility for borderline personality disorder and PTSD.
The couple met in 2021 on the set of their film, “Bodies Bodies Bodies,” and were first romantically linked in 2022.
Pvnew exclusively reported this week that Davidson has checked into rehab.
“He is good,” says a source. “Pete is a big believer in mental health and therapy. When there is down time in his schedule, he works on himself.”
A source previously told us, “Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening.”
The source said that the “King of Staten Island” star — whose firefighter dad was lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks — is “taking a well deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues.”
Davidson has previously been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, and struggled with addiction issues. He was previously in rehab in 2017 and 2019.
“I got diagnosed with ‘BPD’ a few years ago, and I was always just so confused all the time, and just thought something was wrong, and didn’t know how to deal with it,” Davidson has said. “Then, when somebody finally tells you, the weight of the world feels lifted off your shoulders. You feel so much better.”
The star also sought trauma therapy in April 2022, after Kanye West mercilessly trolled him on social media for dating Kim Kardashian.
Things have also been a bit rough for Davidson recently.
He was charged this month with one count of reckless driving after smashing his car into a Beverly Hills home. Wonders was in the car with him. (Davidson has not commented, and an arraignment is scheduled for July 27.)
He also publicly fought with PETA by telling the animal rights org to “suck my d–k” after they called him out for buying a dog from a pet store.
The “Bupkis” star left a cuss-filled voicemail for an exec at PETA, Daphna Nachminovitch, saying he is allergic to most dogs, and had to get a specific breed.
“Why don’t you do your research before you f–king create news stories for people because you’re boring,” he said.
