Kathy Griffin is clapping back for the Queen of Pop’s sake.
The comedian defended Madonna from online trolls “piling on” and “making fun” of her hospitalization in a TikTok Wednesday.
After admitting she doesn’t “know what’s going on” with the 64-year-old singer, Griffin blamed hateful comments on “ageism and misogyny.”
The actress said, “Sorry, but as a 62-year old chick I deal with it all the time, and she’s freaking Madonna!”
Griffin went on to defend Madonna’s presumed plastic surgery specifically, clarifying that she doesn’t “care” about the Grammy winner’s appearance — and others shouldn’t either.
“[Her fillers] are going to go away if she feels like it or not,” the Emmy winner said. “I care about her health, and I’m glad she can go back on this tour. The tour is the greatest hits, and she should be great.”
Griffin’s followers praised the social media upload, with one calling it “the most sensible thing Kathy has ever said.”
Another fan wrote, “I feel bad that more people don’t have the insight to see that entertainers age and have health problems like everyone else. I hope she gets well.”
Earlier that same day, Pvnew exclusively revealed that Madonna had been rushed to a New York City hospital over the weekend after being found unresponsive in her home.
A source told us the songwriter is “out of the ICU,” and her longtime manager, Guy Oseary, divulged more details via Instagram.
“She is still under medical care,” he wrote in a lengthy post, explaining that Madonna had suffered from a “serious bacterial infection” with “a full recovery … expected.”
The Grammy winner’s eldest child, 26-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon, was at her side during the health scare, an insider told us.
Madonna’s two sons, Rocco Ritchie, 22, and David Banda, 17, were photographed visiting the performer’s Upper East Side apartment Wednesday. She is also the mother of daughter Mercy, 17, and twins Estere and Stella, 10.
