John Boyega got a hold of Jamie Foxx for the first time since the “Ray” star’s mysterious “medical complication.”
“He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro,” the “Star Wars” actor told People at the Hollywood premiere of his and Foxx’s new film, “They Cloned Tyrone,” on Tuesday.
“He’s doing well. And then, you know, we [are] just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return,” Boyega, 31, shared.
“I gave him the well-wishes directly. I gave him all the well-wishes. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”

“He’s doing amazing. I promise you. Doing really, really good,” Turner shared.
“[Our director] Juel [Taylor] talked to him yesterday. John Boyega talked to him yesterday. He’s in really, really good shape and spirits. And he’ll be back on the screen. He’ll be back to work very soon.”
The “Django Unchained” star’s daughter Corinne Fox revealed in April that her father had been hospitalized in the middle of production on his upcoming movie “Back in Action.”
His co-star Cameron Diaz, who came out of retirement for the Netflix project, has since continued to shoot scenes with a body double for Jamie.
A source told People Tuesday that Diaz “wanted to be supportive and help out in any way” after her castmate’s health crisis even though “his family has kept his status very quiet.”
Neither Jamie, 55, nor his team has confirmed what caused his medical issue, though his rep did shut down a conspiracy theory that the COVID-19 vaccine gave him blood clots.
The Oscar winner did, however, publicly speak out via Instagram in May to thank his fans for “all the love,” adding that he felt “blessed.”
Corinne, 29, revealed later that month that her dad had been “out of the hospital for weeks.” He reportedly then went to a physical rehab center.
