Lola Consuelos has no desire for another younger sibling.
During Wednesday’s episode of Kelly Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast, the mother of three revealed the 22-year-old gives her a stern warning every time she and husband Mark Consuelos head out of town.
“You got to be careful with those away trips,” Ripa, who conceived son Joaquin while on a child-free vacation in the early 2000s, joked.
“That’s how babies are made.”
“Every time I go away now, my daughter is like, ‘Don’t get pregnant!'” the longtime “Live” co-host told guest Hilarie Burton.
“She is very funny … my daughter is so provocative.”
However, Ripa often turns the tables on the recent college graduate when she tries to intervene in their business.
“I’m like, ‘Don’t you get pregnant, how about that?'” the 53-year-old joked.
Ripa and Mark have never shied away from talking about their active sex life in the media or in front of their three kids — Lola, Michael, 26, and Joaquin, 20.
In fact, Ripa revealed on a podcast episode over the summer that Lola has walked in on her parents having sex on two different occasions — both falling on her birthday.
Ironically, the first time she caught her parents in the act was when they were on vacation in Italy when she was just 8 years old.
Ripa explained that she and Mark, 52, had barely any “alone time” on the trip and decided it was “now or never” once they put the three to bed.
Despite Mark insisting that he locked the door, Lola walked in midway through their rendezvous to tell her parents she was “thirsty.”
“All I know is, at a certain point, I made eye contact with my 8-year-old daughter who is standing at the foot of the bed,” Ripa said, calling it “the ultimate horrible birthday present.”
Yet the couple, who have been married since 1996, didn’t learn their lesson and the “same thing happened eight years later on her 16th birthday.”
However, Ripa says the second time around proved to be a bit more traumatic for Lola, who felt like her “life [was] over” after witnessing her parents tangled up.
“‘I used to see in color, and now everything is gray,'” Ripa recalled of her daughter’s reaction.
“‘How could you do this to me? What is wrong with you people?’”
“The moral of the story is she never learned to knock. Hopefully, by the time she turns 24, we’ll be done having sex,” she concluded, noting that Lola has since learned to head out of town for her birthday.
