Mark Ballas’ baby is here!
The former “Dancing With the Stars” pro became a dad on Tuesday when his wife, BC Jean, gave birth to their first child, a son.
“Welcome to Earth my son ✨ Banksi Wylde Ballas 11 / 5 / 23,” the proud dad captioned an Instagram photo where he and Jean held their newborn’s tiny hand.
Ballas, 37, and Jean, 36, told their Instagram followers in June that they were starting a family.
“Lately we’ve been making new music, making birthday wishes, went to Disneyland, made more music stuff, turned off our phones and went to the beach,” the couple captioned an Instagram Reel, which ended with the singer-songwriter’s baby bump debut.
“Also we’ve been making a tiny human,” the duo concluded. “Coming soon.”
The dancer’s “DWTS” co-stars commented their congratulations on the social media upload.
Peta Murgatroyd and Lindsay Arnold both wrote that they were “so happy” for the pair, while Derek Hough gushed, “Uncle D can’t wait!”
Ballas shared the pregnancy news three months after he revealed his departure from the ABC show.
“This will be the last time you see me dance in this capacity,” the choreographer said onstage when the Season 31 live tour came ended in March. “I’m coming to a close tonight.”
Prior to his exit, Ballas competed on and off as a pro for 20 seasons, beginning in 2007.
During this time, the three-time winner began dating Jean. He got down on one knee in January 2016, marrying the actress in November of that same year.
When Jean, 36, found out she was pregnant, she told Ballas the news with a “big brother” bandanna around their dog’s neck.
“Shut the f–k up. Are you serious? For real? … Yay!” Ballas asked in footage his wife shared via Instagram in July.
“I had just got home from the gym, still sweaty, hair a mess & found out I was going to be a dad,” he gushed in the video’s caption. “This was one of the best moments of my life & our lives together.
