Paris Hilton revisited her “Simple Life” days when she changed her first diaper one month after her son Phoenix’s arrival via surrogate.
The reality star asked her sister, Nicky Hilton, if she should “learn” on a Season 2 episode of “Paris in Love,” which debuted in November.
When Nicky replied, “Yeah,” Paris addressed her and husband Carter Reum’s baby boy.
“I said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday, but I will for you,” the new mom, 42, said. “Anything for Phoenix.”
After setting the infant down on a changing table, the “scared” DJ got a lesson from her sibling, 40, on locating the “front [and] the back” of the diaper and making sure it wasn’t too tight.
“[In] motherhood, you’ve got to get your hands a little bit dirty,” Nicky told her “tomboy” sister in a confessional.
While many Twitter users laughed off the “on brand” scene, others slammed Paris for not changing her newborn’s diaper sooner.
“I know the wealthy have Nannie’s and night nurses but to not change your own child as the mom?” one viewer wrote, with another accusing the heiress of having “the privilege” to treat Phoenix “like an accessory.”
A third fan noted, “She will never get this time back. She really needs to slow down & soak up every minute with this angel. It goes by so quick.”
Paris quietly welcomed the little one in January after keeping the process a secret from her family members.
In October, the socialite addressed mom-shamers for the first time after Instagram haters left “sick” comments about Phoenix’s head size.
Paris clapped back with a lengthy Instagram Story clarifying that her son is “perfectly healthy” and just has “a large brain.”
She wrote, “Targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable. This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe.
“Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life,” Paris continued at the time. “Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters. It’s hard to fathom that there are people who would target such innocence.”
The businesswoman is now a mother of two as she and Reum, 42, introduced daughter London last month after she was born via gestational carrier.
