Emily Simpson clapped back after a troll accused her of taking Ozempic to lose weight.
Commenting on a photo that the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star posted to Instagram Friday, the social media user asked, “How’s that ozempic workkng [sic] out for you?”
The netizen then elaborated on her suggestion, writing that it is “sad” how Simpson believes she “needs to change her body temporarily because it will all revert back to how it was before when she stops taking” the trendy drug, which is intended for Type II diabetes patients.
Simpson, 47, swiftly shut down the claim, responding, “you don’t know me and nothing will ‘revert back’ bc my arms are jacked from heavy lifting 7 days a week.”
In the accompanying photo, the Bravolebrity smiled as her twin sons, Luke and Keller, stood by her side. She wore a black jumpsuit from LSpace that had cutouts on both sides.
Other users chimed in with Ozempic theories as well, with one writing, “Which diet pill did you use?! We all know now that’s the Hollywood secret! Ozempic & what else works?! Cause it’s NOT all diet & exercise.”
Simpson opened up about her weight loss journey in 2020 after dropping 30 pounds.
“I worked my butt off to get here and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and continue to go!” she wrote via Instagram at the time.
Posting before-and-after photos of her fitness transformation, she added, “I lost myself and my confidence through gaining 30 lbs. in one year in front of millions of people on a Reality TV Show.
“Here I am a year and a half later feeling sexy, confident in my own skin, and like the EMILY I am meant to be!”
The accusations Simpson is facing come amid a slew of “Housewives” admittedly hopping on the Ozempic train to lose weight.
Even Bravo exec Andy Cohen joked about the number of reality stars who’ve turned to the medication, commenting via Instagram last Wednesday that the “Real Housewives of Ozempic” is currently on air.
