Shannen Doherty stepped out with a smile, two weeks after revealing her stage four breast cancer has spread to her brain.
The “BH90210” alum was photographed in seemingly good spirits while heading to a restaurant in Malibu, Calif., on Thursday.
The actress, 52, paired a dark blue sweater with jeans and white sneakers for the outing, carrying a black jacket and a matching purse.
Earlier this month, Doherty shared her heartbreaking cancer update with her Instagram followers.
“My fear is obvious,” the “Charmed” alum captioned a video of herself receiving radiation therapy.
She posted footage the following week of “what cancer can look like” before undergoing surgery to remove a tumor in her head.
“I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified,” Doherty captioned the clip, which was originally filmed in January.
“The fear was overwhelming to me,” she continued. “Scared of all possible bad outcomes, worried about leaving my mom and how that would impact her. Worried that I would come out of surgery not me anymore.”
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.
Although Doherty was in remission by 2017, she revealed three years later that the disease had returned.
In an October 2021 “Good Morning America” interview, the “Heathers” star told viewers that she was “fighting to stay alive.”
While Doherty was married to Kurt Iswarienko at the time, she filed for divorce from the photographer this April.
“Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted,” her rep told Pvnew at the time. “Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option.”
Doherty previously married actor Ashley Hamilton and poker player Rick Salomon in 1993 and 2002, respectively.
While she considered having children with Iswarienko before their breakup via an egg donor or adoption, Doherty told Health magazine in 2019 that she was “fear[ful]” of motherhood amid her health struggles.
“[I don’t know whether I’m] going to last five years, 10 years,” she explained. “I certainly wouldn’t want my 10-year-old burying a mother. I’ve always wanted a kid. But maybe I’m supposed to mother in a different way.”
