Kyle Richards and Sutton Stracke got into a heated argument after the designer brought up rumors about the actress’ crumbling marriage on Wednesday’s episode of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
The two butted heads after Stracke pulled Richards aside during a cannabis-infused dinner with their fellow “Housewives” in an attempt to mend their crumbling friendship.
However, when they weren’t able to resolve their issues, Stracke accused Richards of not being “honest” and being “in denial about something” before storming off.
Back at the table, Crystal Kung Minkoff further encouraged them to “clear the air” in front of everyone.
“I don’t like feeling like a friend is making veiled threats to me,” Richards said of Stracke.
“When you do that and say, ‘What’s going on with you?’ And then you say, ‘You’re not being honest’ and walked out of there, what do you want me to be honest about? Why don’t you say then? You have the balls to bring that up, then have the balls to say that to me.”
“I’m talking about me and my personal life, and I’m sharing with you, and I’m being very honest and real, and then I was asking you to do the same with me, and you’re not doing it,” Stracke, 52, fired back at Richards, 54.
She then brought up Richards’ lifestyle changes — such as working out daily, eating healthier, becoming sober and getting tattoos — and alluded that they were a way to cope with a deeply troubling situation in her life.
“I cannot believe you have the guts to say that to me when you don’t eat!” Richards cried, adding in a confessional that Stracke “literally just pushes her food around her plate like my kids would do when they wanted you to think they were eating their vegetables.”
However, Richards’ accusation was brushed aside when newbie Annemarie Wiley encouraged them to be “blunt,” because they were “not saying anything right now.”
“Is there something going on in your personal life that you would like to share?” Stracke continued to ask her before Garcelle Beauvais clarified that they were talking about “her marriage” to Mauricio Umansky.
They pointed out the fact that Richards no longer wears her wedding ring and has replaced it with a sapphire and diamond band, which they dubbed as a “makeup” one.
“When your husband messes up and you get a gift,” Beauvais explained. “They buy you something to forget what they did.”
Richards argued that her wedding ring was in the bank and that she had bought herself the new ring.
“So what you’re saying is that my husband is cheating on me?” she screamed at the women before reminding Stracke that her interrogation about her marriage was “a low blow.”
“Do you want more? Do you want my husband to have cheated and bought me that band that he did not buy me? Because he didn’t. He did not buy that for me, I bought it myself!” Richards continued to cry.
Stracke said she was “happy” and “content” with Richards’ answers, but that only seemed to make Richards more upset.
“Everyone’s saying, ‘What’s going on with you?’ If I’m going through a hard time and exercising and working out and not drinking because guess what? Even if I have two glasses of wine, the next day I feel down and depressed. I can’t afford to feel depressed right now!” Richards shouted while in tears.
The episode ended with all the women looking in shock, but Beauvais noted in a confessional that Richards doesn’t seem like she wants to “address the elephant in the room.”
“Is there something going on in your marriage? That’s the question; not who bought the ring. Does that matter?” Beauvais reflected in a confessional.
Around the same time as Stracke brought up the rumors to Richards, the “Halloween” star told Pvnew that she was “unbothered” by the rumblings.
However, the rumors continued to spread until Pvnew revealed that Richards and Umansky had separated in July after 27 years of marriage.
The estranged couple initially denied that they were “divorcing,” but they each confirmed the separation in September, and Richards even used the word “divorce” at BravoCon 2023.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
