But who got the bearskin rug?
Bryan Cranston is currently rocking a seriously massive mustache, which he joked he inherited from ’70s icon Burt Reynolds.
The “Breaking Bad” star showed off his impressive facial hair Tuesday at the NYC premiere of Wes Anderson’s “Asteroid City.”
“When Burt died he left me his mustache and this is it. I had it sewn on,” the actor told Pvnew.
Reynolds, who was often celebrated for his world-renowned facial hair, passed away in 2018.
Meanwhile, Cranston had even more fun with the look as he twirled the ends of his ‘stache in a playful manner.
“Asteroid City” marked the first time the Tony winner has acted in an Anderson film, which usually attracts A-list talent. Cranston, 67, compared the director’s process to putting a “jigsaw” together.
“You’re just a cog in the wheel … You don’t know really what he’s putting together, and it’s not for us to know what he’s putting together,” he explained.
“We trust him, so it’s the work, the specificity of it, the brilliant imagination that he has.”
The “Malcolm in the Middle” alum also shared how the massive cast — which includes Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks and Tilda Swinton — bonded on the set.
“Every single night, every single night we’re [having] dinner, wine and we’re talking about each other’s families, what we’re hoping and expecting and what we’re worried about,” he said.
“You’re really given an opportunity to experience some life, some quiet moments. And no offense, there’s no press,” he added. “There’s no one else around you, so you feel free to be able to be open and express yourself.”
Additionally, Cranston’s co-star Rupert Friend, who plays a cowboy in the sci-fi flick, told Pvnew he developed a sore tush from being on a horse all day.
The English actor, 41, added that he got “calluses on my hands” from learning to lasso, even managing to throw a rope around Maya Hawke one day.
Other celebrities at the premiere included Hanks, 66, and his wife, Rita Wilson, Johansson, Jeffrey Wright, Jason Schwartzman and Adrien Brody, who attended with his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman.
Johansson, 38, later met up with her husband, Colin Jost, at the after-party, which took place at famed Broadway hangout Sardi’s.
