The Weeknd may be saving a “reminder” on his phone of a past love.

Fans are convinced that the musician isn’t over on-again, off-again girlfriend Bella Hadid after he played a voicemail allegedly from the model during his concert in Lisbon, Portugal.

“Hey, it’s me. I know it’s been a while but I was just thinking about you and I’m sorry about everything,” an unidentified female voice was heard saying before The Weekend sang his 2020 hit “Blinding Lights.”

A clip of the voicemail posted to TikTok left many spectators wondering whether the mystery voice belonged to Hadid – despite her and The Weeknd calling it quits for the last time in 2019.

“He’ll never get over her,” one fan commented, with another adding, “The voicemail sounds like something straight out of a movie.”

A third wrote, “He’s so obsessed.”

Hadid, 26, and The Weeknd, 33, were first romantically linked in 2015 before their relationship came crashing down in fall 2016.

Fans gushed over the idea that the singer was still holding onto a “reminder” of his love with the model.

At the beginning of their romance, Pvnew reported that the two were head over heels for each other and even made their red carpet debut at the 2016 Grammys. However, they parted ways just months later.

The two briefly dated other people before rekindling their romance in 2017.

For nearly two years, the singer and model appeared all loved up, often sharing glimpses of their life together on social media.

But it wasn’t long before the two broke up again in August 2019, per E! News. “They are in different places right now, physically and mentally,” a source told the outlet at the time.

A year after ending their romance, The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) released his song “Blinding Lights.”

The music video for the award-winning hit featured the exact voicemail the singer has continued to use in concert ever since.

Fans last went wild over the message in April 2022 after The Weeknd played it while headlining Coachella in Indio, Calif.

Reddit users previously speculated the mystery voice belonged to vocalist Ruth Radelet from the electronic band Chromatics, while others remain convinced Hadid is behind it.

The Weeknd has never publicly confirmed either theories.

The recent voicemail speculation was a break for The Weeknd, who is currently being slammed for his HBO show “The Idol.”

Despite fans always inquiring about The Weeknd’s dating life, the singer hasn’t been making headlines for his rumored relationships as of late.

Instead, he’s been receiving plenty of backlash for his acting debut on “The Idol.”

The HBO show, which has been blasted by viewers as a “rape fantasy,” features the actor in the role of Tedros alongside Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn.

The two get hot and heavy in the graphic show, which has been called everything from “absolute worst series ever” to “comically bad.”

After airing on June 4, the show lost more than 100,000 viewers after bringing in more than 900,000 for the first episode.

Fans can watch The Weeknd star in the controversial six-episode series, streaming now on HBO with new episodes dropping on Sundays.
