Jenna Lyons played coy when Jimmy Fallon grilled her about returning to the “Real Housewives of New York City.”
“I wanna show a clip of ‘Real Housewives,’ but before I show the clip, are you coming back?” Fallon, 49, asked Lyons, 55, on Tuesday’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Lyons immediately looked uncomfortable and dozed off to the side before Fallon asked her once again, “Are you gonna come back for another season?”
The fashionista attempted to awkwardly play it off as though Fallon was asking her when she was coming back to his show and not “RHONY.” But Fallon refused to let her ditch the question.
“No, ‘Real Housewives.’ Are you doing it? Are you doing another season?” Fallon asked for a third and fourth time.
Lyons looked to the side once again and uncomfortably replied, “No, I thought I was gonna be hosting ‘Jimmy Fallon’ with you.”
Fallon laughed but asked for a fifth time, “But what do you think?”
“I have, I don’t know, what do you think?” Lyons replied while looking off into the distance.
The crowd burst into cheers and applause and Fallon once again followed up with, “You don’t know? You don’t have an answer?”
“I don’t have an answer, I genuinely don’t know,” Lyons concluded.
Someone from the audience then shouted, “Do it,” to which Fallon told her, “They want you to do it, that’s it, they love you!”
Fans have been wondering if Lyons would return to the rebooted “RHONY” ever since she did not attend – and was never scheduled to attend – BravoCon 2023.
She later told “Entertainment Tonight” she had more “important things to do, like twiddle my thumbs.”
The former president of J. Crew also raised eyebrows when she was the final cast member to appear on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” in October, and said the “whole show” was her “thorn” of the season.
Fans also pointed out how Lyons and Cohen both appeared to be talking in past tense while reflecting on her time on the show.
“Andy and Jenna are talking on this post-finale episode of WWHL as if she’s not coming back next season of #RHONY. Feels like they’re talking around actually saying so, though,” one user tweeted.
“The way Jenna is talking on #WWHL tonight sounds like she has one foot out the door…” someone else wrote.
“jenna lyons mumbling under her breath that her thorn for the season is the whole show ?? oh she’s gone gone,” another user chimed in.
Lyons has not directly shared her answer nor has Bravo shared an announcement on the cast for the next season. However, Cohen has said several times he “hopes” Lyons will return.
