He’s still a big man on campus.
Even though Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt seemed to drop Brad Pitt’s famous last name when she joined a sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta, some students at the school are still holding out for a Pitt stop.
”It was already big news when she decided to attend school in Atlanta, and her mom is really nice to everyone when she comes to visit,” said a classmate of Zahara. “But in all honesty we want to see her daddy.”
The 18-year-old recently crossed over from being a pledge to becoming an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, announcing in a clip that went viral, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie… Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles.”
After the ceremony, her movie-star mom, Angelina Jolie, attended a welcome lunch at the local Whitley Hotel, along with brothers Pax,19, and Maddox, 22.
Pitt, 59, was not on the scene.
Said a school insider, “It was big talk when her mom helped her move into the dorm last year. So now everyone is crossing their fingers for at least a quick drive by and graduation, but that is years away.”
Jolie, 48, has also attended the school’s homecoming.
But Pitt said in an interview with Vanity Fair last year of Zahara attending Spelman: “I’m so proud of her… She’s so smart. She’s going to flourish even more at college. It’s an exciting and beautiful time to find her own way and pursue her interests. I’m so proud.
He also said, “Where does the time go, right? They grow up too fast. It brings a tear to the eye.”
Said a source: “Zahara is actually really nice despite what many thought [because] she would be coming from celebrity parents. The fact that she pledged AKA made her even more relatable. She is now a part of a lifelong sisterhood.”
