Brad Pitt has “no reaction” to the recent headlines about his son Pax Jolie-Pitt allegedly calling him a “world-class a–hole” in a resurfaced social media post, Pvnew has learned.
Despite a report claiming Pitt feels the situation is “depressing” and “frustrating,” a source close to the actor insists that nothing could be further from the truth.
“This is just unfortunate that people would keep trying to bring kids into things,” the insider tells us Tuesday.
“It’s been a long seven years and it’s unfortunate when people unnecessarily raise issues from so far in the past … and don’t take into consideration the impact it has on the whole family.”
The source adds that Pitt has not referenced his children in the media regarding his 2016 divorce from Angelina Jolie or their ongoing custody battle — and he will continue to remain silent.
Reps for Pitt did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
Our source’s remarks come one day after screenshots of a post from Pax’s alleged private Instagram account were circulated online.
The then-16-year-old reportedly bashed his estranged father — who he has not been seen with since 2016 — on Father’s Day in 2020.
“Happy Father’s Day to this world class a–hole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person,” Pax allegedly wrote, per the Daily Mail, over a photo of Pitt accepting his Oscar.
“You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence,” he reportedly continued, referring to siblings Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
He also has a 22-year-old older brother, Maddox.
“You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you’re incapable of doing so,” the message continued.
Pax, now 19, also allegedly accused Pitt, 59, of making “the lives of those closest” to him “a constant hell.”
“You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday. So, Happy Father’s Day, you f–king awful human being!!!” the post concluded.
The “Bullet Train” star shares his six children with ex-wife Jolie, who accused him of physically and verbally abusing them during a plane ride in 2016.
In court docs obtained by Pvnew in October 2022, Jolie, 48, claimed her ex-husband “choked one of the children and struck another in the face” and “grabbed [her] by the head and shook her” during the infamous plane ride.
Pitt has maintained his innocence.
Furthermore, the FBI investigated him for the alleged child abuse but decided against pursuing criminal charges.
The “once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star’s relationship with his children came into question just last week when Zahara refrained from using “Pitt” in her name during her Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority induction at Spelman College.
Instead, she introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie.”
Back in 2021, Us Weekly reported that Maddox also “doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie.”
“Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support,” an insider said.
Jolie and Pitt were legally married between 2014 and 2019 after getting together in 2005.
