If you build it … they won’t leave.
Kevin Costner has reportedly asked for a court to help get his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, out of their shared home amid their divorce.
Per documents obtained by TMZ, the “Yellowstone” star claimed the former model is refusing to leave their house — despite their long-standing prenup detailing that she had 30 days to vacate their home after she filed for divorce on May 1.
Costner, 68, further alleged, according to the outlet, that Baumgartner is using her position as leverage to make the “Bodyguard” actor agree to her “various financial demands.”
Costner has allegedly already given Baumgartner, 49, over $1.2 million for his prenuptial obligations, which is more than enough to find somewhere else to live.
Per TMZ, in the court docs, Costner claimed that he is willing to “contribute as part of his child support obligations $30K per month for a rental house and is willing to advance another $10K for her moving costs.”
Pvnew has reached out to Costner’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Last month, Baumgartner filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
In her filing, the handbag designer asked for joint custody of their three kids: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. However, she did not ask for spousal support.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” a rep for the “Hidden Figures” actor confirmed at the time.
“We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
Costner responded to her petition the following day, asking for joint custody of the children as well.
Sources told Pvnew that Costner was left “stunned” by his wife’s decision to file for divorce.
Though speculation of his serial cheating began to surface, a longtime friend told us, “There was no issue of cheating at all.”
A source close to the family told People that Baumgartner was “unhappy” with his work schedule prior to her filing.
“Christine wants them to spend family time at their Santa Barbara home,” the insider said. “During filming, Kevin is not around very much. His absence has been very hard for her.”
Another source in the industry told the outlet that Costner’s career had occasionally “taken precedence over his home life.”
“Kevin hasn’t been home very much for quite some time due to filming, the popularity of ‘Yellowstone,’ and the time necessary for his other projects. He has been in demand,” the source said.
Baumgartner and the “Field of Dreams” star began dating in 1999, shortly after the actor called it quits with Bridget Rooney, with whom he shares son Liam, 27.
Costner and the Cat Bag Couture designer temporarily split in 2003 and reunited the following year, tying the knot in Aspen, Colo.
Kevin was also previously married to Cindy Costner. However, they divorced in 2004.
They also share three kids together: Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
