Travis Kelce had a sweet reaction to a fan who attended the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles game with a Taylor Swift-inspired sign Monday night.
ESPN shared a TikTok video of the NFL player smiling and waving when he spotted a young woman holding a sign that read, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.”
The line was a reference to Swift’s now-famous lyric change during her show in Argentina earlier this month.
“Aww. His smile when he saw it! ❤️,” one person commented, while another wrote, “His little smile aw.”
Others were quick to defend any Swifties being criticized by ESPN’s typical viewers.
“to all the men in this comment section getting defensive because there’s a new fan base interested in your thing chill,” one fan chimed in.
Kelce and the Chiefs suffered a 21-17 loss to the Eagles Monday.
It had previously been reported that his mom and dad would attend the game with Swift’s parents — but the pop star’s family didn’t show up amid her tumultuous Eras Tour show in Brazil.
“Taylor and Travis have met each other’s parents so it only makes sense that they’d want their parents to meet each other as things between them are getting really serious,” an insider told Us Weekly last week.
“Taylor and Travis both have a very close bond with their parents and it’s really important that their families blend seamlessly, as well.”
It seems the decision was made after Swift, 33, was forced to remain in South America to play a rescheduled show in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the night of her new flame’s game.
Less than two weeks ago, Kelce, 34, jetted south to attend her concert in Buenos Aires, where she gave him a not-so-subtle shout-out.
During her hit song “Karma,” Swift usually sings, “Karma is the guy on the screen.” However, with the two-time Super Bowl champ in attendance, she switched up the line to, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
Videos taken by Argentinian concertgoers showed Kelce smiling from ear to ear before holding his hands up to his face in shock.
The singer’s dad, Scott Swift, even turned to the tight end in celebration.
The pair, who reportedly only met the day before, were seen cheering as they continued to dance in the VIP tent beside Sabrina Carpenter and TikTok star Chris Olsen.
