“Summer House” alum Luke Gulbranson slammed his former co-stars for only wanting to score a “paycheck,” causing the dynamic of the show to change.

While promoting his beer, Happy Dog Lager, Gulbranson told Pvnew in an exclusive interview that he agrees with fans who have called out the show — specifically during the most recent reunion — for being dramatic simply for the sake of drama.

“People don’t need to see people fight all day,” the Luke’s Maple Syrup founder told us, adding that fans just want to see the cast “have fun.”

Without naming any names, he continued, “You have some people that are not real friends, that are just there to make TV and to get a paycheck and sit in their bed all day, and they only come out when cameras are up.”

Addressing the public’s backlash of the cast, the 39-year-old told us, “That stems from people not being real friends and people creating fake drama. You have to have real friends. You’re going to get drama with your friends.

“There are shows where the drama and the fighting is what the show is, and I think ‘Summer House’ has always been a great show that’s been built for people to really kind of enjoy and be like, ‘Damn, I wish I was there having fun with them,'” he said.

“And somehow it’s kind of turned into this s–t like every girl I feel like is just trying to be a ‘Housewife’ or something, and I’m like, ‘Dude, you’re not – that’s not ‘Summer House,'” he continued, referring to Bravo’s popular “Real Housewives” franchise.

Gulbranson — who starred on the hit Bravo show for three seasons before leaving in 2022 — said that he’s “sad to see that the show was a bummer this year” for fans.

“In any friend group, you’re going to get drama,” he continued. “People fight and argue and bitch with each other all the time, but it doesn’t need to be so gross all the time, like, let’s lighten up and have some fun.”

Nonetheless, he did acknowledge that some of the cast members “are actually real friends.”

Despite Gulbranson refusing to say who he was talking about, Paige DeSorbo, Ciara Miller, and Mya Allen have previously expressed their desire to spend more time in bed.

The former star still remains close friends with Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, and Kyle Cooke.

In fact, DeSorbo and Miller closed Season 7 while butting heads with Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke — whom Gulbranson is still friends with.

As for Gulbranson, he has stayed busy over the last year with his Happy Dog Lager which he launched after the success of Luke’s Maple Syrup.

“I have my maple syrup company and I was like, ‘I’d love to create a beer that is similar to what maple sap is,'” he told us.

“I sat down last summer with a brewery in Minnesota, and we were sampling and tasting, and we all kind of looked at each other with smiles on our faces and were like, ‘It’s actually really good, like we need to do this.'”

He also teased Pvnew a future in both scripted and unscripted TV and film projects.
