Dick Van Dyke put on an animated display during a rare appearance Sunday with his wife, Arlene Silver.
The actor, 97, and Silver, 57, attended the opening of his longtime photographer Laura Johansen’s exhibit, Moments in Time Portraits, at Malibu City Hall.
The couple were all smiles driving to the event, with Van Dyke riding in the passenger seat.
He entered the exhibit, which honored the past decade of his life, with the help of a cane.
The Emmy winner wore a tweed blazer and a white dress shirt, while his wife rocked an all-black outfit.
Silver joined Van Dyke onstage inside as the “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” star was captured on camera laughing and engaging with the audience.
His 72-year-old son, Barry Van Dyke, also showed his support at the exhibit.
The Tony winner promoted the event via Instagram the following day, writing, “Thank you to everyone that made our opening reception such a great success!”
Silver shared footage from the event on her own account, too.
The makeup artist has been married to Dick since February 2012, six years after the pair met at the SAG Awards.
“I was in the green room and she passed through, and I was bowled over by her beauty,” the Broadway star told RumorFix at the time.
After he hired Silver as his own makeup artist, the pair “kind of fell in love.”
As for their age difference, Dick brushed off the 46 years between them, saying, “She keeps up with me.”
He did, however, tell Closer in March 2022 that he was worried people would think Silver was a “gold digger.”
Dick, who was previously married to Margie Willett from 1948 to 1984, has stepped out with Silver multiple times in recent years, from hitting the gym to having fun at Disneyland.
The “Dick Van Dyke Show” star will turn 98 on Dec. 13, with a birthday special airing on CBS on Dec. 21.
