Bam Margera has sent his estranged wife numerous “abusive” text messages since being released from his 5150 psychiatric hold.
Nicole Boyd’s attorney, David Glass, told TMZ that the “Jackass” alum’s messages quickly escalated from casual to name-calling.
“Bam has started texting since his release from the 5150 hold, but the content quickly turned abusive, calling Nikki awful names, saying she is the cause of all his problems, even saying she’s a ‘gold digger,'” Glass revealed.
Glass ended his message by hoping Margera’s upcoming treatment at one of Lamar Odom’s rehab facilities will help him “take responsibility.”
But Margera’s attorney, Peter Thompson, claimed the pro skateboarder was upset over being released from the 72-hour hold only to find out that Boyd had filed documents requesting $15,000 per month in child support for their son, Phoenix.
She also asked for $50,000 in attorney’s fees.
“Bam continues to support her and Phoenix even though she won’t even allow a phone call or FaceTime with Phoenix,” Thompson told the outlet.
“He just wants to see his son and continues to come up against a brick wall on that. Contact would go a long way in getting this resolved.”
Just days before Margera, 43, was placed on the psychiatric hold, he went on social media and threatened to “smoke crack” until he died if he couldn’t see his 5-year-old son.
He disappeared, and his brother, Jess, called the police who located Margera at one of actor Danny Trejo’s restaurants, Trejo’s Tacos, where he was acting erratically and slurring his speech.
While he was being held at a mental health facility, Jess told Pvnew exclusively that his brother was headed to one of Odom’s rehabs because the former reality star didn’t want to go to Betty Ford where he had been “yelled at” for “smoking.”
It’s unclear for how long Margera will be in treatment.
