A second woman accused country singer Jimmie Allen of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed Friday in Tennessee federal court.
The alleged victim — identified only as Jane Doe No. 2 — came forward nearly one month after the “Best Shot” singer was sued by his former manager for sexual abuse and assault.
The latest unidentified woman claims in court documents obtained by Pvnew that she met Allen, 37, on a plane in 2022, did not know who he was and that he asked for her phone number.
The two then allegedly engaged in “daily” long-distance communication over the phone.
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum was married at the time. His estranged wife, Alexis Gale, announced their split in April after nearly two years of marriage.
Gale, a nurse, is currently expecting their third child. The estranged couple also share daughters Naomi, 3, and Zara, 1. Allen also has an older son, Aadyn, from a previous relationship.
The “Freedom Was a Highway” singer allegedly lied to his second accuser, told her he was separated and that he wanted to marry her, per the court documents. He also allegedly said she would make a good “stepmother.”
However, the romance apparently took a dark turn during a trip to Las Vegas in July 2022.
Jane Doe No. 2 alleges in her suit that Allen “sexually assaulted” her in his hotel room and then passed out.
She says she was “extremely upset” over the incident and, as she went to exit the room, allegedly noticed the “Good Times Roll” crooner “surreptitiously and, without her consent, placed his cell phone in the closet facing the bed and had been videotaping the entire event.”
Jane Doe No. 2 claims in the court documents that she was unable to wake Allen up in order to delete the alleged recording, so she took his phone and brought it to police.
The alleged victim says she has suffered “extreme emotional distress, including anxiety and depression,” and has been unable to “trust” others as a result of the alleged incident.
She is suing for assault, battery, invasion of privacy and infliction of emotional distress.
Attorney Elizabeth Fegan, who represents Jane Doe No. 2, explains to Pvnew why her client decided to file the lawsuit.
“Since Jane Doe filed her case last month, we’ve heard from others who share similar experiences,” the managing partner of Fegan Scott says.
“Jane Doe 2’s filing demonstrates to me that there is a vivid, distinct pattern of behavior. We intend to show it’s a pattern of deceit, manipulation and ultimately of force.”
The Chicago-based lawyer concludes, “The law is clear — anyone who has given consent in sexual activity has the right and the ability to revoke consent at any time. Just as no means no, stop means stop. If one participant doesn’t stop, it is sexual assault.”
Allen’s reps and attorney did not immediately return Pvnew’s request for comment.
However, the “Down Home” singer issued a statement last month in response to his first accuser’s claims.
“It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever,” Allen told Pvnew in May of his former manager’s allegations before admitting the pair did have a “sexual relationship” for two years.
“During that time she never once accused me of any wrongdoing, and she spoke of our relationship and friendship as being something she wanted to continue indefinitely,” he said. “only after things ended between us, did she hire a lawyer to reach out and ask for money, which leads me to question her motives.”
Allen insisted that his former lover’s claims were “false” and “extremely damaging.”
He concluded, “I’ve worked incredibly hard to build my career, and I intend to mount a vigorous defense to her claims and take all other legal action necessary to protect my reputation.”
However, Allen’s former manager — identified only as Jane Doe in the first lawsuit — denied she had consensual sex with him and claimed she “lost her virginity” to him through “no choice of her own.”
The alleged sexual abuse continued for a period of 18 months at “red lights, in green rooms, on airplanes and in other places she was required to be to support him at events.”
The woman further alleged Allen “raped her in private while choking her” and “videotaped multiple sexual encounters in order to blackmail her to stay silent.”
