Harry Styles’ mother, Anne Twist, clapped back at social media users who’ve been criticizing her son’s newly shaved head, taking to Instagram Friday to call out the haters for their “negativity.”
“When you consider that H has a legacy of kindness and inclusion, has always made every effort to make everyone feel seen and appreciated for exactly who they are,” the 54-year-old mother of two wrote alongside the photo Styles’ brand, Pleasing, shared on Instagram Wednesday.
“There’s an irony in the negativity he’s been shown for having a haircut. Sorry but I don’t get it,” she added.
In the pic, the “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” singer wears a cozy brown sweater as he shows off the new buzzcut that he first rocked at a U2 concert in pics last week.
Twist went on to share a screenshot of a news headline reading “Harry Styles fans shocked over shaved head reveal: “Ruined my entire life.’
Above the photo, Twist wrote “Let’s uncrap that,” drawing green arrows down to a fake headline that read,”Breaking news: It’s hair! It’s his! Also it will grow back. If he wants.”
