Sofía Vergara’s 2023 has been full of ups and downs.
The “America’s Got Talent” judge recently reflected on her “very difficult” year, which included her and Joe Manganiello splitting after seven years of marriage.
“I’ve had a very interesting year,” she told People. ”I don’t want to say ‘bad’ or anything like that, but it’s been very interesting and very difficult.”
Vergara, 51, added, “I went through a divorce this year, the SAG strike that went on for so long. I’ve seen my friends struggle — some had to take their kids out of their schools or had problems with their mortgages, so it’s been a weird, weird year.”
Despite the “Modern Family” alum’s rough year, she is looking forward to what the future holds.
“I think all the things are resolving, everything is going to be okay and I’m very excited for next year,” she said.
In July, Pvnew exclusively reported that Vergara and Manganiello, 46, were ending their marriage.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the estranged couple told us in a statement.
A source told Pvnew that Vergara and the “Spider-Man” actor had “been growing apart for a while now” and were “taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
Though the reason for the split is unknown, a source told us Manganiello’s intense desire to have kids led to the split.
The “Hot Pursuit” actress is already mom to son Manolo, 32, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Joe Gonzalez.
Vergara has been living her best life since the split, traveling abroad and hitting up some of the summer’s hottest concerts — including Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
She is now dating Justin Saliman and reportedly already “falling” for the orthopedic surgeon.
Meanwhile, Manganiello is reportedly now “casually dating” actress Caitlin O’Connor.
