A woman filed a lawsuit against Arnold Schwarzenegger after she was left “permanently disabled” from a January 2022 car crash she claims he caused.
According to court documents obtained by the Blast, plaintiff Cheryl Augustine claims that she was left “permanently disabled” after the multi-car accident.
“At said time and place, defendants, and each of them, so negligently, wantonly, unlawfully, wrongfully and recklessly drove, operated, serviced, maintained, entrusted, repaired and managed said vehicle to cause said vehicle to collide with plaintiff’s vehicle and to proximately cause the hereinafter described injuries and damages to the plaintiff,” the court docs read.
Augustine alleges in the suit that she “was required to, and did, employ physicians and surgeons to examine, treat and care for her.”
She claims that care acquired “medical and incidental expenses, the amount of which is presently unknown” to her.
Augustine also alleges in the lawsuit that she has not been able to work since the accident and has “suffered out-of-pocket property damage, loss of use of her automobile, and incurred other out-of-pocket expenses in an amount not known.”
She is looking for the “Terminator” star, 76, to cover the “general damages … all medical and incidental expenses … all loss of earnings” and all damages to her car.
Pvnew reached out to Schwarzenegger’s reps for comment but we did not immediately hear back.
In January 2022, Pvnew reported that Schwarzenegger was involved in a multi-car crash in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood, Calif.
The former bodybuilder was driving a GMC Yukon about a mile from his home when he collided with a red Prius, rolling over the smaller vehicle before making an impact with a Porsche Cayenne.
At the time, the driver of the Prius was reportedly taken to a local hospital after sustaining a head injury.
Schwarzenegger seemed to be uninjured from the accident, as he was photographed talking with authorities at the scene.
A source close to the former governor of California told TMZ at that time Schwarzenegger was “deeply concerned” about the injured woman and intended to personally check up on her.
No arrests were made and police told ABC7 that they did not believe the incident involved any alcohol or drugs.
Schwarzenegger was then involved in another accident just one year later.
In February 2023, Pvnew reported that the “Jingle All the Way” star allegedly hit a cyclist who swerved onto his lane in West Los Angeles.
Police sources told TMZ that the dad of five did not appear to have caused the collision, as he was not going fast and did not have a chance to hit the brakes before he collided with the woman.
