Billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez held a star-studded engagement party in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday night at the home of designer Diane Von Furstenberg and media mogul Barry Diller, Pvnew has learned.
We hear legends like Oprah Winfrey and Barbra Streisand rubbed elbows with stars such as Kim Kardashian, Chris Rock and Salma Hayek at the bash.
Disney CEO Bob Iger made the rounds along with Kris Jenner, Rita Wilson, Gayle King, Jessica Alba, designer Stacy Bendet and Hugh Jackman’s ex, Deborra-Lee Furness.
We’re told the Amazon founder gave “an incredible” and “heartfelt” speech to his fiancée.
And Nineties “Pieces of You” singer Jewel performed an original song she wrote for the couple called “Legendary,” a source tells Pvnew.
Also at the engagement party were Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse, Miranda Kerr and Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, James Brolin, jewelry designer and Hollywood scion Jennifer Meyer, billionaire Nicolas Berggruen and Hollywood financier Vivi Nevo.
Diller told Vogue of Sanchez: “She’s a sparkler in Jeff’s life… they’re very in love with each other — they’re demonstrably in love.” He added, “She’s lit him up in the nicest ways, she’s a great stimulant.”
Pvnew exclusively broke the news of the couple’s engagement in May.
The power pair were spotted in the South of France making the rounds during the Cannes Film Festival, where Sanchez was seen flashing her ring on the party circuit and privately letting pals in on the good news.
“I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos,” Sanchez tells Vogue in a new feature. “We’re still thinking about the wedding [and] what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet. We’ve only been engaged five months!”
As for her wedding dress, she says she has her eyes on designs by Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana or Valentino.
Billionaire Bezos seems to know his place when it comes to any decisions on the nuptials. Asked about his input, he quipped to Vogue, “Oh, God, no. Do I look that dumb?”
The 59-year-old tech tycoon and the broadcast journalist-turned-helicopter pilot have been inseparable since they started dating in 2018.
News broke that they were a couple in 2019, but the duo kept a low profile until his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, was finalized.
