What happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas for Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson.
A source close to the former couple revealed Friday that their relationship went downhill rapidly after Jackson shamed the mother of his child for showing off her figure at Usher’s Vegas residency in July.
“I don’t think the Vegas incident caused all of [their problems],” the insider told People.
“There were problems before, but I do think it was the beginning of the end.”
As fans may recall, Jackson, 29, called out his girlfriend’s sheer dress and fitted black bodysuit combo she wore in Vegas.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he wrote in one of his tweets at the time.
“This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
After that, the couple’s relationship status was unclear until Thursday, when the “Nope” actress, 30, filed for a restraining order against the father of her only child, accusing him of domestic violence.
In the original court filing, Palmer accused Jackson of attacking her after she told him she would prefer Leo not attend a football game at such a young age.
“At that point, he lunged at me, grabbing at my neck and face, knocked me backwards over the couch, stole my phone out of my hands and then ran out of the house,” the documents, obtained by Pvnew, read.
She also included shocking footage from her home’s surveillance system of the Nov. 5 attack.
She said they broke up “primarily due to the physical and emotional abuse inflicted on [her] by [him] throughout [their] relationship.”
“This is a big surprise,” People’s source added of the breakup, further explaining that the pair appeared at an event in Los Angeles together for her KeyTV network recently and looked happy.
“The baby was there, everybody. Darius went to support her, they were all congratulating her,” the insider claimed.
In her original court filing, Palmer said her bay boy gave her the strength to leave the allegedly abusive relationship with his father.
“It is because of our son, Leo, that I was finally able to end my relationship with Darius once and for all and escape the abuse,” she wrote.
“Unfortunately,” she added, “ending my relationship with Darius has not ended his abuse — if anything, he is even more unhinged, volatile and dangerous to both me and our son.”
Palmer also claimed the pair broke up for the final time in October after dating on and off since 2021.
A temporary restraining order was granted by a Los Angeles County judge Friday.
The order requires Jackson — who goes by Darius Daulton — to remain at least 100 yards away from Palmer and their 8-month-old son, Leodis, whom they refer to as “Leo.”
The former “True Jackson, VP” star and the fitness trainer welcomed their son in February after the actress announced her pregnancy on “Saturday Night Live” just two months prior.
