Britney Spears went deep into the archives to find and share a photo from the first time she met Taylor Swift in 2000.
“During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door,” the singer recalled in a post she shared on Instagram Saturday.
According to the “Toxic” singer, her “good friend,” who was “trying to become a manager,” introduced her to Swift backstage.
“There was a knock, and then he said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you,'” she wrote.
After enthusiastically agreeing to hear the young musician, Spears recalled how Swift sang a “beautiful song with her guitar.”
“I was like wow wow she’s unbelievable !!! We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation.”
Continuing, she added, “Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She’s stunning !!! Girl crush.”
The “Stronger” singer’s story was posted alongside two images of Spears and the teenage Swift — one taken in 2003 and another from 2008.
Spears, 41, and the “Blank Space” songstress, 33, have a lot in common when it comes to their musical successes.
Both of the Grammy-winning pop stars have garnered love from millions of fans around the world, selling out numerous arenas and amassing big bucks from media deals (such as Spear’s memoir “The Woman In Me” and Swift’s latest film deal covering her Eras Tour).
While Spears has seemingly taken a step back from music in recent years, the “Circus” songstress recently suggested she’s recording a “new song.“
As for Swift, who has yet to publicly respond to the pop icon’s loving remarks, is currently on the South American leg of her Eras Tour.
As previously reported, Swift’s new beau Travis Kelce, 34, even jetted down to Argentina to be by the “All Too Well” singer’s side for her Saturday night concert.
The two were even spotted sharing a passionate kiss at one point during the evening.
Swift also gave a shout-out to her hunky NFL star beau, changing her typical lyrics of “Karma” from “Karma is the guy on the screen” to, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
