Savannah Chrisley said her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, have been faced with “a lot of retaliation” in jail since she started advocating for prison reform.

“It’s been really tough [for them] since I started speaking out about everything,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “That’s been the toughest part. More so for Dad.

“There’s been a lot of retaliation, so we have to worry [about him].”

The “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley” podcast host, 26, has been speaking out about the horrible living conditions at the Kentucky and Florida prisons where her parents are being held following their convictions for fraud and tax evasion.

Savannah previously alleged that the prisoners are not given proper medical care and are sometimes given the wrong medication.

She also claimed that there is no air conditioning in the prisons even when it’s over 100 degrees outside.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum claimed that since she has been speaking out on Instagram, the guards have been targeting her father especially and they are now working to get him moved from the facility.

“Right now they’re trying to move him from the facility he’s at now, because of the latest things that I’ve posted on Instagram,” she told the outlet. “And that’s the tough part — the moment you start speaking out, you have to pay for it.”

Savannah alleged that Todd has now been barred from arranging phone calls with his attorneys.

“Which is a huge thing because… it’s a non-recorded phone call to where you can speak about the things that are happening to you to your lawyer, [and] they’re not letting him do that,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

Although Todd has been allegedly facing unfair treatment, he does not want his daughter to stop speaking out about what’s been happening to him behind bars.

“He and I have had the discussion [and] his exact words were, ‘If I have to be uncomfortable in order to hopefully implement and force change, then I’m willing to do it,'” she said.

Julie, however, has not been allegedly targeted as much as her husband but Savannah said her mom’s “living conditions are terrible” and some of the male guards allegedly “speak down on the women [in jail]. They make them feel like garbage.”

Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, reported to their respective prisons in January, two months after they were sentenced for fraud and tax evasion.

The patriarch of the Chrisley family was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while his wife was ordered to serve seven years behind bars.

Aside from Savannah, the reality stars share two other children: Chase, 27, and Grayson, 17. Todd is also the father of Lindsie, 34, and Kyle, 32, both of whom he shares with his ex-wife, Teresa Terry.

The couple also adopted Kyle’s daughter, Chloe, 11, after her father, a recovering addict, lost custody of her in 2016. Savannah now has custody of Grayson and Chloe while her parents serve their prison terms.
