“And just like that” … Kim Cattrall is back.
Cattrall, who has been feuding with Sarah Jessica Parker for years, secretly filmed a “cliffhanger” scene for the upcoming Season 2 of “And Just Like That.
An insider told The Post Wednesday that the 66-year-old kept her cameo a secret from everyone on set, arriving in a heavily-tinted SUV and keeping her name off the call sheet.
Sources said staffers were “definitely shocked” but “very intrigued” to see how writers are planning to use her secretive scene — which was filmed in March.
“She said she’d never do it!” one source said. “She said she’d never come back!”
“The fact that they’re keeping it very hush-hush says that there’s some implication that she might be coming back — not this season, but it’s definitely a cliffhanger that’s gonna get people to come back for Season 3,” they explained.
Max — formerly HBO Max — has yet to confirm whether the “Sex and the City” spinoff will be getting a third season.
In June 2022, showrunner Michael Patrick King revealed to PvNew that the second season’s storyline would feature her beloved character, Samantha Jones, despite not being included in the first season.
However, King kept tight-lipped about how he was planning to bring her back after previously saying the door wasn’t open for Cattrall’s return.
Although “SATC” followed four best friends navigating their lives in New York City, Cattrall suggested in 2004 that things were very different behind the scenes.
“Are we the best of friends? No,” she said about their dynamic, per the Telegraph. “We’re professional actresses. We have our own separate lives.’”
Although Parker and Cattrall combatted feud rumors in the years to follow, things seemingly came to a boiling point after Cattrall was dismissed from starring in a third “Sex and the City” movie due to her financial “demands.”
“The common ground that we had was the series and the series is over,” Cattrall told Piers Morgan in October 2017. “Sarah Jessica, she could have been nicer, she could have in some way. I don’t know what her issue is, I never have.”
One year later, she described “cruel” Parker as a “hypocrite” during a scathing Instagram rant.
In a later interview with People, Parker said she was “heartbroken” by Cattrall’s comments to Morgan and claimed it was a one-sided feud.
“So there was no fight; it was completely fabricated, because I actually never responded,” she explained. “And I won’t, because she needed to say what she needed to say, and that is her privilege.”
Due to the ongoing tensions, Parker explained why Cattrall wasn’t invited to be on the spin-off series during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year.
“We did not ask her to be part of this because she made it clear that that wasn’t something she wanted to pursue, and it no longer felt comfortable for us, and so it didn’t occur to us,” she said.
“That’s not ‘slamming’ her, it’s just learning. You’ve got to listen to somebody, and if they’re publicly talking about something and it doesn’t suggest it’s some place they want to be, or a person they want to play, or an environment in which they want to be, you get to an age where you’re like: ‘Well, we hear that.’”
Season 2 premieres Thursday, June 22, on Max.
