Don’t mess with Zach Bryan.
The country singer booted a female fan from his show in Albany, NY, last week after she tried to grab a guitar out of his hands.
“Get her out of here,” Bryan, 27, said in footage captured by a fan as he walked through the crowd at the MVP Arena.
In the video, the unidentified woman grabbed Bryan’s guitar for a brief moment, which the singer later said he took personally.
“I give J-45’s out at a lot of concerts,” he tweeted after the show.
“The one in my hands when this happened was mine, my sweet ol’ gal, we’ve been everywhere together and written every song in the last few years together,” he went on.
“Took it personal, but nothing against whoever wound up getting kicked out.”
In a follow-up tweet, Bryan added, “I don’t mind people being respectful and trying to touch me or the guitar, but if you try to rip it out of my hands I promise I’ll rip you out of whatever venue we’re at, respectfully, of course.”
Several fans applauded the “Something in the Orange” hitmaker for setting clear boundaries.
“As your star continues to rise, people will want more. Good for you for establishing boundaries now. The music is enough for me,” one person wrote.
Another chimed in, “I was just surprised at her brazenness. Your fans see your extreme generous nature with all the ways you give to your fans, but to just grab and hold onto your guitar- made me physically cringe.”
A third follower suggested the fan had “crossed a line.”
“Completely justified … You’re still a person and your space as well as boundaries need to be respected,” they wrote.
Others suggested the concertgoer may have seen a clip of Bryan giving away an acoustic Gibson J-45 guitar, which he often does at his shows.
“He just gave away a guitar at a concert she must have saw that lol,” one fan wrote on social media, with another adding, “why’d he get mad like that? it didn’t even leave his hands lmao.”
Bryan, whose “American Heartbreak” album was among the biggest of 2022, is currently on his national “Burn, Burn, Burn” tour.
“I didn’t care about selling out the tour in thirty seconds, I cared about people getting reasonably priced tickets,” Bryan wrote in a post shared via Instagram in February, after selling out his shows in less than one minute.
“We sold all the tickets in 3 waves to actual fans, we hired teams to limit bots, and we sacrificed a lot of personal things to give real people, real seats. Thank you guys so, so much.”
