The 31-year-old former actress opened up about her decision to look into the egg-freezing process on Tuesday’s episode of her “Hard Feelings” podcast.

“I do not feel in any way, shape, or form like I want kids,” she candidly stated.

“I cannot imagine a world in which someday I want kids.”

However, she said she is “open” to having a change of heart in the future since she’s a constantly evolving person.

“I have changed a lot as a person in my years so far and I hope to continue changing,” she explained.

“What I don’t want to happen is for me to turn 40 and realize, ‘F–k, I want kids now,’ and I don’t have enough eggs to make it happen.”

“I am trying to bet on my future self wanting a thing that my current self can’t imagine wanting, versus just not doing it and risking that someday I might want it and not be able to do it then – and the regret,” McCurdy added.

McCurdy, who rose to fame starring in Nickelodeon’s iCarly following its premiere in 2007, said the information she learned during her egg retrieval and freezing consultation was “jarring,” especially because her doctor informed her she should have started the process five years ago.

“I feel attacked,” she quipped.

The “I’m Glad My Mom Died” author also admitted she was uncomfortable during the entire consultation because she felt too young to be discussing such a process.

“I feel like a child and something about walking into an egg-freezing appointment just made me feel … I’ve never felt more 7 in my life. Absolutely including when I was actually 7,” she said.

“Life is weird. Aging is odd,” she went on.

McCurdy, who opened up about the physical and mental abuse she endured as a child in her 2022 memoir, previously revealed she had no interest in parenthood.

“I have two nieces I adore and a third one on the way,” she said on “Red Table Talk” with Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne “Gammy” Banfield-Norris in Sept. 2022.

“I am happy to be an aunt. I am open to maybe a couple years from now, if something hits me and I just feel like, ‘Yeah, I do want [kids],’ but for now, I am good.”

The “Sam & Cat” alum said she had an egg-freezing consultation following a series of doctor appointments, including a mammogram, ultrasound, pap smear and genetic testing.

Although women are encouraged to start mammogram screenings at the age of 40, she began testing herself at 25 because her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer when she was 36.
