The truth behind Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider’s ‘sad’ feud on ‘RHONJ’ Season 14

The end of Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider’s friendship has sent shockwaves through the Bravo-verse.

Now, Pvnew has heard from both “Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars about their fallout.

“I feel sad about it. I think it’s sad, but I think it’s weird,” Josephs, 56, exclusively told us Saturday at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas. “It’s shocking.”

The Soirée mocktail co-founder’s husband, Joe Benigno — who walked the red carpet with her — noted that the rift was “very surprising” to him as his wife had been close with Goldschneider, 47, for years.

Josephs, for her part, emphasized that she is “not taking responsibility” for the breaking of their bond.

“Normally, I would. I would take responsibility for something like that,” she explained. “But I feel maybe she didn’t love me as much as I thought she did.”

Josephs addressed speculation that she and Goldschneider found themselves at odds over a conversation about the latter’s recently released memoir, “The Weight of Beautiful,” published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.

“I championed her for that book, I wanted her book to be successful. I had my own book with Simon & Schuster [that] did unbelievably well and I want only good things for her,” the “Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget” author shared.

“I want good things for everybody. Even if I don’t love them, I want good things for people, you know what I’m saying? I support women unconditionally.”

It has been said that Goldschneider felt Josephs took credit for her inking a deal to pen her own tome — an assertion that the Macbeth Collection creator doesn’t agree with.

Josephs addressed speculation that the fracas stemmed from a conversation about Goldschneider’s memoir, “The Weight of Beautiful.”

“No one gets anywhere on their own. This is a team. I have a beautiful team behind me. I couldn’t be me without everybody behind me,” Josephs said, elaborating on what led to the discord.

“I think she got very offended when I said, ‘I championed you,’ and that didn’t mean anything behind it. And I think she was very offended that I said that.”

But Goldschneider sees it differently.

“There was a trust that got broken and I don’t know that that’s so easily repaired,” she teased to us, while standing next to fellow “friend of” the “RHONJ” cast Jennifer Fessler on the carpet. (The pair recently announced an iHeart Podcast called “Two Jersey J’s.”)

Focused on her current friendships on the reality show — notably, she is now tight with fellow foes Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin — Goldschneider admitted that she is “not sad” over separating herself from Josephs.

“I’m not sad,” she said. “I think the friendship kind of came to an end and I think everybody will see it and they’ll understand why I’m not sad.”

Meanwhile, Melissa Gorga suggested that Goldschneider — with whom she was previously very close — picked a bone with Josephs for attention.

“I think that sometimes people feel like they need to ruffle feathers to make a splash — and it’s unfortunate,” the “On Display” singer told us on at BravoCon.

“You need to stay authentic to your true self and I think she’s looking for rumblings, trying to throw things out there and seeing if they stick,” she continued. “And God bless.”

Like BravoCon 2022, the “RHONJ” cast was split into two panels this year in Sin City. Josephs, Gorga, Fessler, 54, Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral — along with the majority of their significant others — reunited onstage for a Saturday discussion moderated by Jerry O’Connell.

On Sunday, a solo Goldschneider convened with Giuidice, 51, Aydin, 46, and Dolores Catania — plus their men — for a chat steered by Michael Rapaport.

Goldschenider assured the crowd that she was content with her decision to switch teams. “This is where I belong,” she said.

Bravo has yet to announce a premiere date for “RHONJ” Season 14.
