Johnny Depp’s band, the Hollywood Vampires, has been forced to postpone three scheduled US tour dates due to the actor’s ankle injury.
“We are sad to share that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this coming week,” the band, also made up of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen, announced Sunday via social media.
“Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.”
The statement continued, “He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so all four Vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe.”
The shows had been set for May 30, May 31 and June 1 in Manchester, NH, Boston and Bethel, NY, respectively, and have been rescheduled for late July.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, 59, made headlines earlier this week when he attended the Cannes Film Festival.
Fans were horrified by the state of Depp’s teeth as he walked the red carpet at the premiere of his latest movie, “Jeanne du Barry.”
“Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally ROTTING,” one fan wrote alongside photos of the actor.
“why do i have to see closeup pics of johnny depp’s teeth against my will,” an upset user asked, while another noted, “johnny depp just looks like someone grabbed his teeth and painted them black.”
“Seeing that pic of Johnny Depp’s teeth on my tl just ruined my mood. That’s enough Twitter for me,” another chimed in.
Despite receiving a thumbs down for his apparent lack of dental care, Depp’s movie was received rapturously.
The actor received a seven-minute standing ovation following the premiere of his French biographical drama.
According to PvNew, Depp held back tears as those in attendance broke out into prolonged cheers for his performance as King Louis XV.
The “Edward Scissorhands” star has remained out of the public eye since winning his highly controversial defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, who accused him of abuse.
The “Justice League” actress, 37, has reportedly quit Hollywood since losing the case.
She has moved to Madrid with her 2-year-old daughter, Oonagh.
