Kandi Burruss exits ‘RHOA’ after 14 seasons: ‘I’m not coming back this year’

Kandi Burruss is dropping her peach.

The longtime “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star revealed at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday that she is exiting the Bravo reality show after 14 consecutive seasons.

“I decided I’m not coming back this year,” she told PvNew on the red carpet at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles.

“It’s been 14 seasons, and they allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I’m super excited about those things.”

The series — which concluded its 15th season in September 2023 — has been on a filming hiatus for some time, as a cast shakeup is being explored.

The last installment starred Burruss, Kenya Moore, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, Sanya Richards-Ross and Marlo Hampton.

Burruss, 47, said it wasn’t just the stall between seasons that impacted her decision to bow out; she was ready to press pause on giving fans an inside look at her personal life.

“It’s just like, you know, after you really have time to think, and a friend of mine was like, ‘Why do you keep doing it?’ And I was like, ‘Well, I think because I’ve just been doing it so long, feels weird to think not to do it?’” she reflected.

“So I was just like, ‘You know what? I’m going to take a break. I’m going to take a moment. … I’m not coming back this year.’”

Pvnew has reached out to Bravo for comment.

Burruss previously expressed her frustration over the network taking its time to figure out how to move forward with “RHOA” — and with whom.

“They still haven’t told everybody who they’re bringing back. Yeah, they’re over here — they’re being real — [they’re] trippin’!” she lamented during an Amazon Live segment.

“People got lives around here,” she added. “We gotta make plans for other things.”

Burruss has been a Bravo favorite for years, racking up an unprecedented amount of unscripted series for the TV channel — including “The Kandi Factory,” “Kandi’s Wedding,” “Kandi’s Ski Trip” and “Kandi & the Gang,” among others.

Before reality TV, though, Burruss co-founded the successful R&B girl group Xscape, which is still active and scored several Bravo spinoffs.

In addition to being a celebrated solo musician and Grammy-winning songwriter as well, the “Don’t Think I’m Not” singer has performed in and produced multiple Broadway musicals.

Burruss is currently gearing up for a revival of “The Wiz” — a project she is co-producing alongside her husband, Todd Tucker — which is expected to hit the Great White Way in April.

On Monday morning’s broadcast of SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy,” Bravo honcho Andy Cohen paid tribute to Burruss’ remarkable run on “RHOA.”

“She was always very true to herself. She has been one of my favorite people to work with in my whole time, first as an exec at Bravo, and then as an EP of the ‘Housewives’ and just hosting ‘Watch What Happens Live,’” he raved.

“I love how competitive she is, I love how thoughtful and smart she is.”
