The “High School Musical” star, who has been in the spotlight for almost two decades, has been in several high-profile relationships.
However, she found her happy ending in 2023 with her low-key husband, Cole Tucker.
Read on for everything you need to know about the “Sneakernight” singer’s dating history.
Zac Efron
Hudgens met her first serious boyfriend on the set of “High School Musical.”
She and Efron, who starred opposite each other on screen, began dating at the “very beginning” of the movie franchise in 2005, she revealed on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast in 2018.
“We created a bond right from the start,” she said.
“We were like, ‘We’re doing this, it’s us or nothing.’ By being in a relationship, I feel like it kind of kept me stabilized and grounded, and I had someone to lean on who was going through it as well,” she added.
The pair confirmed their relationship two years later when he starred in her 2007 music video for the song, “Say OK.”
The “17 Again” actor, for his part, got candid about their romance during an interview with Rolling Stone that year.
“The weird thing that no one expected about Vanessa is that underneath such a sweet girl … is a very sexy woman,” he told the magazine.
By 2010, the pair had gone their separate ways.
“Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different,” Hudgens told Shape in 2011, alluding to the reason for their split.
Josh Hutcherson
By 2011, the Disney Channel alum was all grown up, and was linked to her “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” co-star, Josh Hutcherson.
The pair was spotted together on a handful of occasions, including at Coachella in April 2011.
They didn’t address their romance until a 2012 interview with Today Australia when they were asked how long they had been dating.
“We’re not — we were at one point, that was a while ago … we’re really good friends now,” the “Hunger Games” actor said, as he flashed his former flame a surprised look.
Austin Butler
Hudgens’ next serious relationship was with the “Elvis” actor, whom she was first linked to in late 2011.
Though they were spotted together on several occasions over the next few years, they didn’t make their romance Instagram official until 2014.
“Happy birthday to the man with the kindest heart, beautiful soul, crazy talent and best looks I’ve ever seen,” Hudgens captioned a birthday tribute to her beau at the time.
By 2015, the pair were speaking publicly about each other.
“It’s important to put that other person first,” Butler told Entertainment Tonight when asked how they make their relationship work.
However, the two remained notoriously low-key about their romance for several years.
Hudgens infamously encouraged her then-boyfriend to audition for the role of Elvis Presley, which would eventually earn him an Oscar nod.
“I CAN’T WAIT
