She may be the next 40-year-old virgin.
“Insecure” star Yvonne Orji shared that she is still saving herself for marriage at the age of 39.
“Are you still a virgin?” Chelsea Handler asked Orji on her “Dear Chelsea” podcast in September during an interview that is now going viral.
“I am,” the actress /confirm/ied, to which her fellow comedian quipped, “Oh my God, I love this. This is the most original guest we’ve ever had on. And what are you, 39? Oh my God, that dam is going to break one day, baby.”
Orji joked that she is worried for the man who eventually takes her V-card.
“People were like, ‘Oh, Yvonne, pray for him, whoever he is.’ There’s a lot of pent-up energy up in here with me,” she said.
Handler, 48, suggested that when the Emmy nominee hits her “sexual peak,” she will “need a couple of men, probably.”
Orji, who will turn 40 on Dec. 2, then quipped, “Yvonne went from being a virgin to polyamory.”
The “Bamboozled by Jesus” author, who is best known for her role as Molly Carter in HBO’s “Insecure,” first revealed her virgin status in 2017.
“I wasn’t going to hide it just because I’m on TV. I’m grounded in who I am,” she told People at the time.
“Before any of [the fame] happened, I sat down with myself and with God and thought, ‘When I make it, how do you want me to represent you while I’m here?’ It was like, ‘OK, I know why I’m here. It’s to make you proud.’”
Orji, who was 33 at the time, said she has received a lot of questions throughout her years in the spotlight.
“People ask about it because they’re curious or they may not understand,” she said.
“How will they ever get understand if I don’t talk about it? I can inform your curiosity, as opposed to everyone being in the dark and just sort of creating their own narrative about it.”
Orji previously dated NFL player Emmanuel Acho from 2018 to 2019; however, she has remained tight-lipped about her recent dating life.
