Congratulations are in order for Jana Kramer!
The “One Tree Hill” alum, 39, announced that she and Allan Russell, 42, are engaged on her “Whine Down” podcast Thursday.
“So, Allan and I have been dating for … six and a half months,” she told listeners. “And he asked me to marry him!”
Kramer went on to detail the sweet proposal, which took place at her new home alongside her daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 4 — whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Caussin.
“It was a really beautiful night and me and the kids were sitting on the front porch steps and looking out at the view,” she explained.
“He said my name and I got up and then he got down on one knee,” she continued. “And then Jolie just started jumping up and down … it was the cutest thing ever. It’s like, she knew what was happening.”
Although Kramer “blacked out” and doesn’t remember exactly what Russell said, she says they both burst into tears.
“It felt very sentimental given the front porch of the new house and new beginnings. It just felt right,” Kramer explained, noting that the proposal was “exactly what [she] wanted.”
Kramer also shared the exciting news on her Instagram, posting a series of pictures from the engagement captioned with a red heart emoji.
In one of the snaps, the singer flashed her new bling while cuddled up to her kids and soon-to-be husband on their front porch.
Russell, who is based in London, also shared the life update on his social media.
“A forever with you just feels right and has done since the day I met you @kramergirl I’m proud to call you my fiancé and cherish every minute we spend together ❤️,” he wrote. “I love you my little warrior xxx.”
The pair made their red carpet debut at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March — just four months into their relationship.
Back in January, Kramer revealed she was in a long-distance relationship on her podcast but insisted that she was taking things slow.
She told her listeners, “I don’t know if this is my forever person. … I’m not going to push away love just because I’ve been hurt before. I’m going to embrace it.”
Soon after, she went Instagram-official with the former soccer player, sharing a photo of the couple embracing and giggling in Downtown Nashville, where she lives.
This will be Kramer’s fourth time down the aisle. She was briefly married to Michael Gambino in 2004 before settling down with Jonathon Schaech in 2010. However, the pair split one year later.
She then married Caussin in 2015 but filed for divorce six years later due to the former NFL star’s infidelity.
