What red carpet rules?
Scarlett Johansson put her tattoos on display at the premiere of “Asteroid City” at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, rocking a low-backed pink gown as she walked the red carpet.
The 38-year-old actress — who stars in the Wes Anderson flick alongside names like Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie and Steve Carell — wore a custom Prada look for the premiere that gave fans a look at her enormous floral back tattoo.
The design features a series of large roses — a likely tribute to her daughter, Rose, 7, whom she shares with ex Romain Dauriac — along with a lamb.
Makeup artist Frankie Boyd shared a closer look at Johansson’s stunning pink look, posting an Instagram video that showed the details of her strapless column gown with a beaded white spaghetti strap piece underneath.
She wore her blond hair tucked behind her ears to show off a dazzling pair of diamond star drop earrings by David Yurman, adding a bright red lip and plenty of pink blush.
The Outset skincare founder cuddled up to husband Colin Jost, who looked dapper in a simple black tux, on the red carpet.
This isn’t the first time the “Black Widow” actress has displayed her tats on the red carpet; she showed off her roses in a corseted gown at the 2020 Oscars and an owl design on her ribcage at a 2019 Comic-Con panel.
Her numerous other tattoos include a sunrise on her inner arm, an “I Love NY” bracelet inked around her wrist, a horseshoe with the words “lucky you” on her ribcage and the Avengers logo on her bicep — a tat she shares with five of her Marvel co-stars.
Perhaps the mom of one will convince Jost to get inked as well.
