Married couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos playfully teased that they want their spouse to sleep in a separate room while discussing annoying bedroom habits.
Consuelos first called out Ripa for hitting the snooze button too many times during a segment on Thursday’s episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark” that featured a study about why snoozing alarms actually isn’t so bad.
“Here’s what they should do: a study for the partner sleeping next to them that does not have to get up at, let’s say, 6 a.m. or 5 a.m. on a weekend to go work out,” he added.
“It is quite disruptive for the partner.”
Consuelos said the study should also show how the partner who wakes up earlier should be “more empathetic” to the person sleeping in or even “sleep in another room” to not disturb the other person.
Ripa quickly jumped in and threw the study back in her husband’s face and said, “Do you know what else it says? Anybody who snores should sleep outside!”
Ripa, 53, and Consuelos, 52, then laughed while giving each other a high five, but the father of three was still concerned about his level of snoring.
“Seriously, like, as bad as I used to snore?” he asked, appearing a bit worried.
Ripa remained vague with her response and said, “You snore” and “I don’t know what to tell you.”
The couple-turned-talk show co-hosts have not shied away from getting candid about some of the problems they’ve faced as a married couple for 27 years.
Earlier this week, the lovebirds got into a playful tiff when Ripa called out Counselos for ordering her a fish dish for dinner when she’s a vegetarian.
The matriarch then got even more upset when she found out that her husband — a meat eater — got a vegetarian item for himself.
“Mark and I have been married a really long time, almost three decades. That’s a long time by long-time standards, but this man has no idea who I am,” she joked on Monday.
Ripa and Consuelos have been co-hosting “Live” since April when Ryan Seacrest stepped down after six years on the morning show.
