Kelly Ripa put Mark Consuelos in his place after the couple disagreed describing a recent date night.
When the “Riverdale” alum told the “Live With Kelly and Mark” audience Monday that their view of “Sweeney Todd” on Broadway was covered by a young man with his girlfriend and her parents, Ripa dissented.
“I believe that they were siblings and parents,” the 52-year-old interjected, clarifying that she was “not sure.”
Ripa admitted, “I don’t know. I think they were siblings.”
When Consuelos, also 52, noted that he didn’t find their dynamic to resemble a “sister interaction,” Ripa repeatedly told her husband “no.”
She claimed, “That was his sister, and I’ll tell you why. They were siblings. Why would she put her boyfriend next to her parents?”
As Consuelos considered this, she concluded, “I rest my case. Thank you, America. America has voted and I am right again.”
Consuelos subsequently joked, “Listen, if you were sitting in front of us at ‘Sweeney Todd,’ today tomorrow write in and let us know were you related.”
The actor was corrected again by Ripa when he claimed the stranger was 6 feet 5, with her insisting, “We’ve decided he’s 6 feet, 7 inches.”
Ripa also declared that she was the one who predicted the three empty seats in front of them would be filled by “three tall people.”
The couple still had a “gorgeous” evening together with their youngest son, Joaquin — despite having to shift like “windshield wipers” to see the show.
“This was Joaquin’s birthday present,” Ripa explained. “Joaquin turned 20 in February but he was still in school in Michigan … so he finally got his birthday present.”
The duo, who have been co-hosting the ABC talk show since April, are also the parents of son Michael, 25, and daughter Lola, 21, who graduated from New York University last week.
