Dixie D’Amelio was hospitalized on Thursday after “feeling faint” at work.
“An ambulance was called,” a source tells Pvnew.
“She was treated at the hospital for dehydration and is now feeling much better,” the insider adds.
We were told the 21-year-old singer still planned to “make it to their D’Amelio Footwear launch,” which was scheduled for Thursday evening, despite the medical incident.
And sure enough, D’Amelio showed up to the LA event in an all-leather look just hours later.
The social media star wore a black bandeau top and matching maxi skirt, with her her newly platinum locks slicked back into a ponytail.
D’Amelio launched the footwear brand with sister Charli, who wore a sequined animal-print dress paired with black platform sandals.
While Dixie has not yet spoken about the ambulance ride or hospitalization publicly, she has been open about her medical struggles in the past.
The songwriter explained in October 2022 that she suffers from premenstrual dysphoric disorder, which she had been unknowingly battling for seven years.
“[PMDD] really affects your moods and your behavior and many different parts of your life,” she explained.
Dixie felt “so low and just down” at the time, adding, “It really disrupts my life and my attitude and my personality and my relationships and just who I am as a person.”
The confession came one month after she shocked her fans with a dramatic hair transformation, buzzing her signature long locks.
“I’ve wanted to do this since like sixth grade,” she said in a September 2022 YouTube reveal.
“I’ve been sad recently, but I don’t want to say anything because I don’t want anyone to think I’m having a mental breakdown.”
