A music producer is suing Chris Brown for allegedly assaulting him at a London nightclub earlier this year.
In court documents obtained by Pvnew, plaintiff Amadou “Abe” Diaw claims the singer “inflicted severe and lasting injuries” on him after “beating him over the head” with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila in February at the Tape London nightclub.
The “Under the Influence” hitmaker then allegedly proceeded to “ruthlessly stomp on” Diaw and kick him in the back of the neck, knocking him unconscious for 30 seconds.
The “crushing blows” allegedly sent the onegodmusic executive to the hospital with “lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg.”
Diaw is also claiming that after the incident, Brown, 34, partook in “defamatory conduct by spreading false rumors” about him and his clients, including labeling him as a thief in order to hurt his professional relationships.
Diaw’s lawsuit says his physical injuries may be permanent and that he allegedly “suffered serious and
permanent emotional distress and trauma.”
Diaw is seeking damages and requests a trial by jury.
Pvnew did not immediately hear back from Brown’s manager and attorney for comment.
However, this is not the Grammy winner’s first run-in with the law.
He infamously beat Rihanna during their relationship in 2009, leaving her in the hospital with contusions and swelling on her face.
He was eventually given five years probation and 180 days of community labor after pleading guilty to the assault.
Brown later confirmed he forgave himself for the assault in 2013, but many fans are still angry with him over the incident more than a decade later.
He responded to the continued hate he receives for the “mistake” earlier this year by telling anyone who has a problem with him to kiss his “whole entire a–.”
Brown has continued to build his resume of legal troubles and brawls over the years; he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and subsequently spent two days in a District of Columbia jail in 2014, he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in 2016, and his ex-girlfriend obtained a 5-year restraining order against him in 2017.
Most recently, the “Forever” crooner reportedly got into a physical altercation with his longtime mentor Usher at his birthday party in January.
An eyewitness claimed at the time that the “You Remind Me” singer was seen with a bloody nose after he met up with Brown in the parking lot of his party venue.
