Rachel Bilson was fired from a job after publicly revealing she wants to be “f–king manhandled” during sex.
“A job got taken away from me because I was speaking candidly and openly about sex in a humorous way on our friend’s podcast,” the actress said on Monday’s episode of her “Broad Ideas” podcast.
She explained: “I basically got a job, that I already had, pulled from me because I was speaking openly about sex.”
The 41-year-old “O.C.” alum told listeners “this is the first time” she has ever been removed from a project “because of things that were said.”
Bilson candidly spoke about her favorite sexual positions earlier this month.
“I like missionary,” she said on the “Women on Top” podcast, before clarifying, “I’ve learned that if you want to have an orgasm during sex, you have to be on top.
“But missionary is my favorite. I want to be f–king manhandled.”
The “Hart of Dixie” star cleared things up on Monday’s podcast, explaining that her prior comments were said “in a joking manner.”
“Like, ‘Yeah, I wanna get f–king get manhandled!’ Basically, it’s like, OK give control or take control in the bedroom, whatever,” she said.
However, she’s “floored” that the confession led her to miss out on work.
“Everything was set in motion and I lost the job. It sucks,” she noted before expressing her frustration about the decision.
“I haven’t said anything inappropriate. … If I could go back, now knowing I lost a job, maybe I would say it differently — but I still wouldn’t not say it.”
She added in exasperation: “A single mom, a woman, lost a job because they were being candid and honest and the subject was sex.”
Bilson has spoken candidly about sex on her podcast in the past, revealing in a March episode that she didn’t climax during intercourse until the age of 38.
“Isn’t that crazy?” she asked guest Whitney Cummings at that time.
The “Jumper” actress later clarified her remarks, blaming her lack of orgasms on herself, not her previous partners.
Bilson shares 8-year-old daughter Briar with ex Hayden Christensen.
She also dated former “Bachelor” Nick Viall and “Saturday Night Live” alum Bill Hader.
While Bilson kept her relationship with the 44-year-old comedian private, she admitted in June 2022 that the split “hurt like a motherf–ker” and was more difficult than giving birth.
“It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she said on her podcast. “Harder than childbirth.”
