Ariana Madix slammed fans who believe Tom Sandoval cheating on her with Raquel Leviss was staged for “Vanderpump Rules.”
“That’s not true,” Madix said of the speculation on Thursday’s episode of “The View.” “First of all, it’s very real I find that to be very insulting to me personally.”
The reality star explained that the affair was “something I am really going through” and “did really go through.”
“And [it’s] not just me, but our friends as well that were close to both of them – it’s as though our collective pain didn’t mean anything,” she continued.
Madix, 37, previously shut down theories that either the producers knew of the affair before her or they producers made up the affair to skyrocket ratings after a slow last season.
“No, one of the first conversations I had with outside of my immediate friend group was with our showrunner Jeremiah and he was as devastated as I was on some level,” Madix said after discovering the betrayal on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” on Thursday.
The Bravolebrity explained that even if there were some “rumblings or suspicions” among producers, “they didn’t give credence to it.”
Madix’s co-star Lala Kent also previously explained that after Scandoval was exposed, a few of the final episodes of Season 10 – filmed before news of the affair broke – were slightly re-edited so the scandal wouldn’t come out of left field.
Since the last few episodes were re-edited with the scandal in mind, many fans found it confusing and rather obvious that at least the producers were aware of the affair.
