Don’t worry darling, the grooms didn’t mind.
Olivia Wilde broke the cardinal rule of dressing for a wedding when she attended Colton Underwood and Jordan C. Brown’s nuptials over the weekend.
The “Booksmart” director, 39, wore a silky, slinky white Nili Lotan gown ($1,895) to the couple’s marriage, and boldly showed off the very bridal style on her Instagram Story — along with an explanation.
“Wore a wedding dress to a wedding so I could make a joke about it in my toast,” Wilde wrote on top of a picture of herself in the backless design.
“The grooms approved,” she added.
The unconventional style choice still caused a stir on social media, with one person tweeting, “Olivia Wilde showing up to her friend’s wedding in a white silk wedding gown is… desperate.”
This isn’t Wilde’s only near-fashion faux pas this month.
Earlier this May, the “Don’t Worry Darling” director hit the 2023 Met Gala red carpet in a white Chloé dress that was strikingly similar to a black version worn by Vogue China’s editor-in-chief, Margaret Zhang, at the same event.
But Wilde took the matching moment in stride.
“Great minds
