Tallulah Willis won’t let body-shaming trolls get her down — and Demi Moore couldn’t be prouder.
When the fashion designer posted cruel messages from her Instagram followers in a slideshow Monday, writing that she does not “become dismantled by strangers’ words (for the most part)” anymore, her actress mom left a supportive comment.
“I am so proud of you!” Moore gushed. “People often can only reflect their own fear.
“Be you in all your forms and keep shining your gorgeous glorious light!” she continued.
In screenshots of direct messages she has received, Willis was repeatedly called “fat” and “cringey” by a hateful social media user.
The 29-year-old explained why she felt it “important” to show the messages publicly, noting that “this happens” too often online.
“This happens to a healing person in recovery, who has been honest about how very sick she was/is and is working daily to find safety and home within her skin,” she wrote.
“I love you and I like you — myself, buuskis included! #edsupport #edrecovery.”
Moore, 60, wasn’t the only of Willis’ family members to praise her in the comments section.
“I’m so sorry Tallulah,” stepmom Emma Heming wrote, “You’ve summoned the mama bears on here who would like to know who this person is.”
As for sister Scout Willis, the 31-year-old praised Tallulah for the “hard work” she puts into her recovery every day.
“Luckily for you, me and everyone who loves you, this person is but a mere footnote in your story, and unfortunately for them, they have to be themselves forever,” Scout continued. “i wish them literally one IOTA of the grace, growth and self love you show every single day.”
Tallulah has been vocal about her eating disorder and body dysmorphia struggles in the past, as well as her journeys with sobriety and depression.
She told Pvnew in August 2020 that fashion helped her leave a “very low place, locked in a swirling loop of fear, of self-deprecation and lack of passion.”
The Wyliss designer explained, “To take the first step into saying this was something I wanted to pursue gave me an inch of breathing room outside of the cycle, and I finally got some momentum to keep pushing forward.”
Tallulah is the youngest of Bruce Willis and Moore’s daughters. While the former couple divorced in 2000, their amicable dynamic has persisted throughout the “Die Hard” actor’s recent frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.
