Jamie Foxx has reportedly entered one of the top physical rehabilitation centers in the country after being released from the hospital.
According to TMZ, the actor has been receiving medical care in Chicago since April — just a few weeks after suffering an unknown medical emergency.
In fact, his daughters Corinne Foxx and Anelise Foxx have flown in to be by his side and seemed to be in great spirits while visiting their father over the weekend.
Although it is still unclear what happened to Jamie, the facility reportedly specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation.
An insider told the outlet the Oscar winner is “recovering well,” which Corinne dittoed last week while giving an update on her father’s health.
“update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corinne, 29, wrote of her 55-year-old father on her Instagram Story. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.”
The actress even claimed that Jamie has been playing “playing pickleball” and staying active amidst his rehabilitation efforts.
The clarification came after Radar online claimed Jamie’s family was “preparing for the worst” amid the “Ray” actor’s recovery. Journalist Touré also claimed in a since-deleted Instagram post that he was “on Life Support in [the] ICU.”
Jamie was rushed to the hospital on April 12 for what Corinne only described as a “medical complication.”
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she said at the time.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
A few weeks later, Jamie finally broke his silence on Instagram, saying he was “feeling blessed” following the mysterious health scare.
The actor was filming “Back in Action” at the time of the medical emergency. Despite pausing filming for a few days, shooting resumed just days later using a body double in his absence.
However, it appears the movie star is already planning his next big project once he is fully rehabilitated.
Jamie and Corinne announced their plans to host a new game show, “We Are Family,” on Monday.
The new series will feature celebrities’ non-famous relatives performing duets with their famed family members, whose identity is hidden. It is set to come out sometime next year.
Reps for Jamie did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
