Julia Fox has nothing but love for Kim Kardashian, but she’s probably not her muse.
The “Down the Drain” author took a lie detector test for a new Vanity Fair video published Wednesday, and among her many fashion and career revelations, she addressed rumors that the Skims founder — and fellow Kanye West ex — is taking cues from her traffic-stopping outfits.
“I actually really love her,” Fox, 33, said in the clip when handed a photo of Kardashian, 43.
“I grew up watching ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ and I actually liked it before they were even cool,” the “Uncut Gems” star continued. “And when people would bash her I would always go to bat for her.”
The model was then asked if she thought Kardashian had ever been “inspired” by her style, with Fox admitting, “I would say that there have been some looks that are a little similar to mine.”
“But I feel like, you know, it’s just what’s trending,” she added diplomatically. “I don’t know if I’m on her mood board or anything like that.”
The duo certainly have worn some similar looks over the years; in 2021, Fox even rocked the same sheer Jean Paul Gaultier illusion dress seen on Kardashian at the 2018 E! People’s Choice Awards.
The two have also twinned in designs by Alexander Wang, Versace and Balenciaga.
This is the second time in recent days that Fox has spoken about Kardashian, as she recently revealed the reality star played a role in her February 2022 split from West.
“He tells me he had a good conversation with his soon-to-be-ex-wife and discovered a lot of information about me,” she wrote in her memoir of her final phone call with the rapper, alleging that the Skkn by Kim founder told West his new girlfriend was a former “drug addict.”
Fox also noted she’d already informed the “Gold Digger” chart-topper she’d been a heroin addict, telling him, “Maybe if you listened more. And not to mention, so were you!”
While they clearly share a similar taste in men and fashion, Fox and Kardashian have also both dabbled in acting, with the former telling Vanity Fair that the latter ‘f—ing killed it in ‘American Horror Story’ so she is a multi-talented queen.”
Fox also spoke about her headline-making style in the segment, sharing that her secret to wearing an uncomfortable ‘fit is to “just know that those photos are going to be insane, honey.”
“It’s gonna be major. And that’s just what keeps me going,” she added.
As for her wardrobe, Fox — who once admitted to getting “permanently banned” from Bloomingdale’s after shoplifting from the store as a teen — shared another sticky-fingered story.
When asked about the most expensive she’s ever stolen, the native New Yorker revealed that she “used to go to a very expensive clothing department store on Fifth Avenue when they would have sales specifically.”
“There would be a lot of people,” she continued, adding that she’d wear a “little Juicy Couture sweatsuit” and “just shove the items in my pants.”
Her priciest heist included an “Oscar de la Renta snakeskin clutch,” per Fox, who confessed, “I still have it somewhere.”
Perhaps she’ll someday bring the bag out of retirement for another statement-making street style moment.
