They’re a perfect match, even when they’re not matching.
Hailey Bieber got real about everything from her skincare line to her life in the spotlight with husband Justin Bieber in a new interview with GQ Hype published Tuesday — including why she and her spouse often step out in completely mismatched outfits.
“It’s so funny because I see so many people talk about this,” the Rhode founder, 26, told the magazine, which noted the couple often looks “like they’re attending events on two separate planets.”
Most recently, Hailey showed up at a Rhode launch event wearing a glamorous red Ermanno Scervino minidress with a bag and heels in the same hot hue, while Justin attended in gray sweats and yellow Crocs.
And last year, Hailey wore a cutout Blumarine blazer dres with sheer thigh-high stockings to pal Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila party; Justin opted for a Drew House hoodie and destroyed denim.
Hailey revealed that her husband typically gets ready first, which could partially explain why she doesn’t dress to match his super-casual ‘fits.
She also told GQ that “he may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that’s how I’m feeling. We can’t sit there and be like, ‘So I’m going to wear this and you’re going to wear this.‘”
As for Justin’s viral Crocs look, Hailey’s friend Kelia Moniz told GQ Hype, “it wasn’t Justin’s day. It was Hailey’s day. He’s there to support his wife, period. But also, he still looks cool, so you can’t hate the guy.”
Along with their couples’ style, Hailey also spoke with the digital mag about the pregnancy rumors that have swirled around the famous pair this past year.

“I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant?” she asked the publication, adding it was “disheartening” to read the comments about her body.
“It would be a lie if I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I don’t give a s–t,'” she added.
When she does one day decide to become a mom, however, she told GQ Hype she can’t wait to dress her little one — perhaps even in a “nepo baby” onesie inspired by her viral tee.
“That would be genius,” she said.
