Jamie Foxx “has been out of the hospital for weeks,” his daughter Corinne Foxx confirmed Friday amid conflicting reports.
“update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corinne, 29, wrote of Jamie, 55, on her Instagram Story. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.
“In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday.”
She thanked fans for their “prayers and support” amid the “Ray” star’s recovery.
Corinne shared her statement after Radar online claimed Jamie’s family was “preparing for the worst” following his mysterious health scare. Journalist Touré also alleged in a since-deleted Instagram post that the actor was “on Life Support in [the] ICU.”
But Corinne set the record straight on her father’s condition, even teasing in her post, “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”
Jamie was hospitalized on April 11 for what Corinne only described as a “medical complication.”
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she shared on Instagram at the time.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
The Oscar winner’s health issues came after reports that he had a meltdown on set of his new movie with Cameron Diaz, “Back in Action.”
Amid his hospitalization, the film temporarily paused filming but resumed days later with a body double for Jamie.
Reports surfaced later in April that the “Django Unchained” star’s health was steadily improving. Another source subsequently shared that he was “awake and alert.”
However, Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne temporarily replaced Jamie and Corinne as the co-hosts of the Fox musical game show “Beat Shazam” earlier this month as the seriousness of the Grammy winner’s illness remained a mystery.
Jamie finally broke his silence on Instagram on May 3 to thank his fans for their supportive messages.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote, adding emojis of praying hands, a red heart and a fox.
